Faith to Bless is a christian organisation with a mission to spread the love of God through teaching, caring, mentoring and counselling. By faith, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional and mental needs of others in Jesus name.

Throughout the year we will be holding monthly meetings, yearly conferences and retreats, weekly prayer meetings and various outings and social events.

Managing our Emotions

First of all, it is important for us to know that no matter who we are and our position in society and in the church, we are all prone to emotions. Whether young or old, big or small, saved or not, we go through them all every single blessed day.

"We are all prone to emotions but how we manage them makes a difference"

The difference comes in the way we manage them especially the negative ones such as sadness, anger, shame, regret, hate, guilt, fear, depression, jealousy, doubt, envy, frustration and the list goes on.


"Don't let your emotions get the better of you."

As born again christians, we are to be led by the Spirit and no longer by the flesh. Although easier said than done, it is very important and imperative for us to take a moment and think about our next steps or actions.

"Ask the Holy Spirit to help you in the process."

We have put together five little steps to help toward managing our emotions.

  1. Know yourself and what triggers those bad emotions and look out for signs.
  2. Stop ruminating or thinking about bad events or experiences.
  3. Meditate on Philippians 4, 8-9 and/or call a spiritually matured brethren for advice.
  4. Make up your mind to forgive the other party no matter their involvement.
  5. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you in the process.
